The Irondequoit Art Club is holding its 50th Anniversary Spring Show, May 1st through May 10th. The show will be held at the Pauline Evans Public Library, 45 Cooper Road, West Irondequoit. Participating this year are approximately 35 artists, representing more than 100 works of varying art mediums. Admission is free.
Many of the many artists participating are award-winning and several are known throughout New York State and across the country. Notable artists displaying their work include Barbara Ford and Jeanette Musliner. One noteworthy artist displaying his work is John Pata. An award winning artist, John designed the 2001 and 2004 posters for the Lilac Festival and has had his works published in newspapers and magazines.
The Spring Show opens with an awards reception on Thursday, May 1st from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Among the awards to be presented, internationally- recognized artist Harriet “Bing” Thayer, a founding member of the art club, will be honored. The press media is welcomed and encouraged to help share the story of the Irondequoit Art Club, our artists and their works with the community.
